Last week, we gathered for our final WILD event of the year. Caitlin Bourne, Dan Knowles, Kally Draycott, Rachel Beauchamp and Dr Alice Ashcroft inspired the room with stories of building inclusive spaces, fostering belonging, and the courage it takes to ask meaningful questions.
Attendees shared in a collective "aha!" moment as questions about inclusivity and creating connections sparked new ideas - with particular insights given on the importance of shared ownership. The energy in the room was brilliant, the stories shared were raw and real, and the insights gained were the perfect way to wrap up 2024. Thank you to all who came!

Let’s make it a year to remember!
Imagine stepping into the new year with clarity, confidence, and a sense of balance. No more frantic to-do lists, no more tying your worth to how much you’ve checked off. Instead, you’ll have a roadmap to make 2025 truly yours - a year where you hit your goals and still have time to enjoy the journey.
On 24th January at 9:00 AM, WILD invites you to a workshop designed for women and non-binary people who are done with the chaos of overwork. It’s your chance to let go of the hustle and build a plan that prioritises what really matters.
Join Danielle Turton, a Certified Coach and academic, who has made it her mission to help women push back against overwork and create lives they love. Danielle will guide you through mapping out a year where you can achieve big things without trying to do it all at once.
Save the date and treat yourself to the gift of clarity and calm as we head into the new year.
Grow your brand in 2025.
Mark your calendar for 12th February at 10:00 AM, where Tasmin Lofthouse will be teaching us how to show up as our authentic selves online! In this session, Tasmin will share exercises for uncovering your personal brand, guide you through tips for bringing your personal brand to life online, and show how you can be successful while showing up as your weird and wonderful self!
Celebrate. Connect. Collaborate.
Mark your calendar for 6th March 2025 at 10:00 AM and jin our hosts Caitlin Bourne (Programme Manager at Scale-Ability) and Roxy Stafford (Programme & Events Manager at Manchester Digital) for a classic networking session! This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the achievements of women in the digital industry and creating a space to share, learn, and grow together - and more importantly, make opportunities for collaboration.
Sophie Paluch shares her extensive experience in helping businesses tell their digital stories…
“I learnt a lot and experienced many different marketing techniques, sat in agency meetings where they pushed ‘harder and faster’ and threw copious amounts of money at PPC. At the same time, I was seeing results with a ‘slower sell’, and as my tech skills developed, I learnt that despite all the algorithms, all the ‘trends’ and ‘fancy tricks’, value added content (digital story) was the most effective way for so many businesses to build customer relationships.”
Paid Opportunity: Write for WILD on Women in Tech
Like Sophie’s recent piece, we’re inviting guest writers to share their stories, experiences, and ideas with the WILD community. We know there’s so much talent and inspiration within this network, and we’d love to feature your voice!
Perhaps you’ve come across a fascinating tech trend, or maybe there’s a piece of advice you wish you’d known when starting out in your career. You might even have thoughts on the challenges and triumphs women face in digital and tech roles.
Pieces should be around 400-500 words, and the gig is paid at £20.
